Coach Juan Soliz was born and raised in Benavides, Texas, where he found his love for sports. Soliz received his BA in Business Administration with a concentration in Kinesiology from the University of Incarnate Word. He has 19 years’ experience in the educational field. In his years of experience, he has coached volleyball, basketball, track, tennis, powerlifting, softball and Special Olympics. Not only does Coach Soliz have experience in coaching; he also has gained many years’ experience in the classroom specifically in the special education department. Outside of work, Coach Soliz enjoys spending time with his family, friends, and traveling.

Coach Juan Soliz is excited to be a part of a great community to proudly serve as the JDA Athletic Director and would like to thank the students, administrators, staff, and parents for making his transition a great one.
